Teamspeak servers
Submitted by nightshade on Sat, 10/06/2006 - 16:52.I am beginning to see a few people at the LAN now who have headsets that have a microphone attached. I'm wondering if people would be interested in having teamspeak servers up and running. You could have say a generalised one that everyone could use which would be running all the time(means no yelling from one end of the room to another to get someone's attention). You could also set up individual servers for the games eg. one for each team in Farcry, one for each server in V8 etc. This would let you communicate with your fellow players in game (plan strategy, pay them out etc).
...Well what does everyone think?
...Maybe I should also ask, how many people actually have a microphone that they could use?
Prize ideas for UT2004 Grandmaster Tournament
Submitted by administrator on Wed, 31/05/2006 - 20:33.What would you like to see as prizes for the UT2004 Grandmaster tournament?
Be realistic - ie not porsche boxters or dream homes.
Lets see what you think would be realistic prizes for first, second and third, wooden spoon and lucky spot prizes.
Also would you be prepared to pay a little extra in order to have better prizes? If so how much extra?
V8 Supercars 2 server preferences
Submitted by administrator on Mon, 24/04/2006 - 15:34.From Wayne the tournament director comes this request for feedback:
After some thought and discussion I think I'll haven't decided if I will run A & B servers for V8 in the May Raw War. This will put all the drivers of the same standard in the same server. It should also reduce the intentional crashing by hopeless drivers taking out the leading cars.
The way it will work will be:
The best 12 racers (from results this year) that turn up will be in the A server, the rest will be in the B. I'll canvass everyone to see if they want collisions on or off and presumably the majority will prevail.
Scoring will be as normal, starting from the bottom of the B server, up to the top in A server. However, the top 3 in server B will be given 3 bonus points each to give them the opportunity to work their way into the A server next time.
I have put a poll up for the collisions on or off or forward only. Have your say!
1st of april
Submitted by 007 on Mon, 03/04/2006 - 09:06.Well, It went well i liked it excpt for the crazyness in v8's, far cry was average and rise was annoying. Overall i liked it we tried a game called "nexius" at the end and we had a blast.
Good Lan Party looking forward to th next one ;). GG guys.

Top Gun Game for 2006
Submitted by administrator on Sun, 29/01/2006 - 22:46.What game should we use for Top Gun this year?
- It needs to be a game that can run for 20 minutes.
- It needs to be something that creates a fair and even platform for everyone (so no special characters or weapons).
- It needs to have a consistent scoring system so individual rounds can not get too heavily weighted or we need a fair scoring system that aligns with the game results.
Suggestions so far include:
- Far Cry FFA using the standard maps
- UT2004 (possibly with Instagib turned on)
- Soldier of Fortune 2
- Quake 3 Arena
What do you think?
Suggest additional games below.
I will create a poll for this once we have enough suggestions.
