I Recently Purchased an ASUS VW222U 22" Widescreed LCD, First thing i noticed was how small it was, I mean i jsut wasted $335 on this thing my 22" CRT's are better, i think the LCD is going to become a TV for my media center instead now. It was absolute Krapp! Heres the good part it shipped to me with 4 green 'stuck'(bright dots) pixels in a cluster, looked like a green spotlight shining into your face white trying to play Games!!!!
Okay no big deal i RMA it back to Umart who replaced it kindy and were stunned at how bright the 'stuck' pixels were. So i take my brand new replacement LCD home with me pluged in my cables for the second time that week, and wow would you look at that theres a white 'stuck' pixel at the top of the screen, not that visible on windows desktop but in games i dont know about you but it anoyed me!! shutdown the pc and then the next day turned it ona again only to notice on a completly black screen i could see yet another 'stuck' pixel AHH!!! again this one being white.
I then extensivley read throuhg everything on the ASUS site i could find only to be disapointed to find that i need three 'stuck' (bright dots) pixels to warrent a return again.
So now im stuck with an $335 waste of money coz after first noticing the 'stuck' pixels you then notice them all the time!! im seriously considering going back to my 22" CRT as at lest i dont have white dots on my screen and i can run a higher resolution.
My Advice to you all DO NOT BUY AN ASUS LCD!!!
The produce a great image and nice contrast, looks great for movies (if you can stop staring at the bright dots!) and alright for games. would recomend a Samsung over these things anyday.
saving for a Dell 30" hopefully it might be able to replace my two 22" CRT's
