Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2 is now running patch version 1.12.
If you have problems installing this patch then I recommned that you uninstall Battlefield 2 completely, reinstall and then install this patch only. The older 1.02 and 1.03 patches are not needed.

We did try that one year with BF1942
It became a nightmare ensuring people had the same version and also became a complicated process for new installs on new people.
Additionally Dice changed the game play somewhat with some of those versions and as a result there was no fairness between LANs
So we will get the best stable version and the easiest install path and use that - we will not modify it through out the year.
BF2 is not going to be
BF2 is not going to be played anyway because it wont run on alot of ppls comps.

what i did with ut04 when i was playing online dif version than lan i had my cd install and the copy install and i used the copy install for lans until i found out the patches were backwards compatible so i put the whole copy version in a RAR and chucked it onto a dvd in case i need it again
