Want a New case what should i get?

The Ninja Kid's picture

Hey guys, its been a long time scince ive been to a lan acctualy havent even taken my new pc to a lan yet! but my 8800GTS is out fo date anyways.

So in other words im after an upgrade.

Im currently running a uATX pc

asus mainboard of some kind cant remeber
Intel Core 2 duo E6750
4 gig of corsiar value select DD2 memory 667
80gig sata/320sata and a few external drives
dvd burner IDE
8800GTS 320 mg version albatron
and a asus micro ATAX case and TT 430true power unit

I dont want to spend loads and will not be needing my old pc when i upgrade but will be keeping the parts as spares or to build a new media center as i gave my old one to a friend.

so heres what i was thinking

I will be purchasing a XFX 780i mainboard roughly $390 bucks so i can go tri SLI and still keep my DDr 2 memory and my E6750
Then purchase refernce serier 9800GTX cards or whatevers cheapest and 3 of them so probably Inno3D cards about $390 bucks each

but only having a uATX case means i need a enw case for the main board and also with tri sli means my power unit will be killing itself so i need a new case and PSU

Now i havent had a window in my case scince my old 2.4p4 pc so thats like 4 pc's ago so im going with a window again. it has to be able to fit 2 hdd's 2 disc drives and the 3 9800GTX cars comfortably and at a low price but has to be a simple good looking clean case, nothing untastefull.

and by cheap i mean cheap cheap im trying to keep this upgrade as close to or below 2Grand as i can including a copy vista which i knwo is hard or impossible which is why is ad as close to as possible meaning a max of like 2200 and preferably less coz its around 1700 for teh GC's and mainboard.. .. .. ..

so throw me some sugestions and none of the go quad SLI! coz form what ive seen benchmarks are showing the tri SLI with the 9800 as better results over all than the quad with the GX2 cards
