RAW WAR 2006 Final Results

Here it is, guys. The final results for Raw War 2006. We took the best 4 results from each style of game and added them together to give you a total score for the year. See the PDF file attached (click read more below to find it)

Winner!
Congratulations to David Gates of Clontarf Baptist (Nightshade) who was 2006 Raw War Champion. He won everything that moved this year, but that only makes him a marked man for next year. David finished the year on 167 points.

Runner up was Jamie Rochfort of Rivers Baptist (Rochie). He tried hard on the final night but was unable to snatch the prize. Jamie finished on 156 points.

Sneaking a spot on the podium was Tony Poor (Gunner). Despite having to sit around a rowdy bunch of losers for most of the year he was able to maintain focus long enough to keep the wolves from stealing his glory. Tony was Raw War Champion in 2004, but this year finished on 146 points.

Fourth place is occupied by our own large-as-life Tim Miller of Rivers Baptist (NeuroTech). Tim’s done a great job of establishing the Lans and providing tireless network support for the last 3 years, but is moving on to greener pastures (where there’s more sheep) and is handing over the Lans to an incompetent sidekick but I’ll try my best to keep up the great work. Tim finished on 135 points.

And coming home with a wet sail into 5th place was Martin Johnson (Viper). Marty’s done a lot of voluntary network support this year and has been very gracious in bringing along his spare PC’s to every Lan for those that don’t have one. He can often be seen strutting the halls in his signed Craig Lowndes cap, much to the disgust of his Holden-loving mates. Marty finished on 132 points.

The last of the special mentions goes to Russell Vickers (Dr Diesel). Russ has set a new standard in goatees this year and I’m still astounded as to how he achieves consistently high scores in racing games using a control pad. Try it sometime, it’s really hard !!!! Russ , Matt (Killer), Peter (Acid) and Ben (007) stay behind every LAN and help pack up, often into the wee hours of the morning. Thanks a bundle guys, you’re Top Shelf. Russ finished the year on 130 points.

In the separate TopGun Comp - Nightshade again blistered the rest of the field with his amazing kill ratio. Well done David! TopGun 2 years in a row!

Prizes will be handed out at the 30 hour Lan, along with some encouragement awards and most improved prizes. If you can't make it then please let us know and we will post them. They are mostly movie vouchers and free LAN vouchers for next year.
