what will be the rules -
what will be the rules - i.e.
scoring - first to what..?
mutators - quad jump, etc
time limit - if score isnt reached
bonus rounds - instagib, group battles, etc

also i noticed there wont be any ammo pickups...thats a bit stupid, no health i can understand but with no ammo pickups you will get a few mins of battle and then they have to run around with a shield gun...?!

Also in regard to UT what parts are going to be single player, and what parts are going to be team based.
Furthermore are we going to be playing UT from midday to midnight, or is there going to be freetime to play whatever u want.

I noticed the version listed as being used for the tournament is 3339. Is this a typo or is it correct? Because the latest version is 3369 which is the version I have installed at the moment and is probably the easiest version to find.

the patches are backwards compatible - so your version works fine with any older versions and vice versa

So, Daniel have you read all the info about the events? Last Man Standing doesn't offer health, ammo or adrenaline pickups. It's not stupid, it's something a little different for a tournament format. It encourages a bit of strategy, accuracy,desperation and skill rather than just hold down your mouse button and spray ammo everywhere. I sent an email to Tim with some more details but it looks like he hasn't posted it yet.

health and adrenaline are okay, but unless the rounds are to 3 kills or something, no ammo is just stupid.

I didn't say there was no ammo. May I suggest you try the format first before publicly condemning it? There are no ammo PICKUPS!!!! You start each life with half ammo in every weapon.
It's probably not a good idea to call something stupid on a website where we're trying to encourage people to come along.

We've advertised Version 3339 so that's the one we'll be running with. We don't want to have to patch everyone's computer who kept the game from last time. If the older version starts the game, the newer ones should be able to join it. If they don't, they need to reinstall.
